SBP Americorps Placement Site Program Request for information  

SBP is a national nonprofit disaster recovery organization founded in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. SBP has a proven long term recovery and rebuilding model that utilizes AmeriCorps members and a national network of volunteers to provide well supervised volunteer labor that has led to rebuilding homes for over 2000 families across the country.  

In partnership with AmeriCorps, SBP is pleased to announce the continuation of the Disaster Recovery AmeriCorps Program to assist impacted communities in their long term recovery and rebuilding efforts. We recognize that there are terrific groups all across the country that have stepped in to fill the gap for residents in need. We also realize that many organizations could do more if they had access to proven effective best practices, and the organizational capacity necessary to scale. It is with these factors in mind that we open our 2023-2024 application cycle.

You must use this form to submit your request for program information. The Placement Site Program Manager will review your submission and coordinate a virtual consultation. 

Upon review and after a virtual consultation, qualified organizations will be invited to submit a full Program Application by May 31st, 2024.
